Melt and pour soap base is a ready-made soap mixture: you melt it, colour and scent it, pour it into a mould and it sets. It removes the part of soap making that involves handling lye, which is what stops most people starting.

White or transparent
Transparent base is the one to choose when something is set inside the bar and meant to be seen: dried flowers, glitter, a small toy. White base gives an opaque, creamy bar and holds pastel colours cleanly, where the same colour in transparent base reads as a tint. Many makers use both in one bar, pouring in layers.

Common questions
Do I need lye?
No. That is the point of a melt and pour base: the saponification has already been done, so you melt, colour, scent and pour.
Should I choose white or transparent?
Transparent if something inside the bar should be visible, white for an opaque bar with clean pastel colour. Both can be layered in one bar.
How do I colour and scent it?
Add soap-safe pigment and fragrance oil to the melted base and stir through before pouring. Add fragrance once the base has cooled slightly so less of it burns off.

What does delivery cost and how fast is it?
Delivery is free on orders of AED 300 and above. Orders above AED 100 and below AED 300 ship at AED 12, and orders of AED 100 or less at AED 20. Order before 1:00 PM UAE time for next-day delivery anywhere in the UAE, Dubai and all other Emirates alike. We deliver within the UAE only.
Can I collect from the store?
Yes. Pickup is free from Sheikha Noora Tower, 1st Floor, 109, Barsha Heights, Dubai, open Monday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
How can I pay?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash on delivery. All prices include 5% VAT.
What is the returns policy?
Items damaged in transit or with a manufacturing defect can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused and in original condition. The full policy is on our refund policy page.
