Plaster of Paris is the traditional casting powder, made for moulding and sculpting. This is a finely milled artist grade that sets to a smooth strong finish and, unlike cheaper plasters, does not shrink or crack as it dries.

How to mix it
- Pour water into a container first, then sift small amounts of plaster onto it
- Mix gently with a spatula until every lump is gone
- Tap the sides of the container to release air bubbles
- Pour when the mix is smooth, even and light grey
- Wear gloves; never mix or stir plaster with bare hands
Pairs well with
Silicone moulds for casting, acrylic paints for finishing, and silicone rubber or putty if you are making the mould yourself.

What is the water to plaster ratio?
Roughly 1 part water to 2 parts plaster, though it shifts with water temperature and weather. Judge by consistency rather than by the number.
Why sift the plaster onto the water?
Adding water to plaster traps lumps. Sifting plaster onto water lets each particle wet through, which is what gives a smooth pour.
Can I paint a plaster cast?
Yes, once fully dry. Acrylics take well, and a sealer first stops the plaster drinking the first coat.

What does delivery cost and how fast is it?
Delivery is free on orders of AED 300 and above. Orders above AED 100 and below AED 300 ship at AED 12, and orders of AED 100 or less at AED 20. Order before 1:00 PM UAE time for next-day delivery anywhere in the UAE, Dubai and all other Emirates alike. We deliver within the UAE only.

Yes. Pickup is free from Sheikha Noora Tower, 1st Floor, 109, Barsha Heights, Dubai, open Monday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
