A 12 by 16 inch Studio canvas on a 36mm pine frame. This is the practice and study size in the Studio range: large enough for a finished piece, small enough that a failed experiment costs little, which is why it is the size most people buy in multiples.

What it is not for
Mont Marte lists this canvas as suitable for their acrylic and oil paints, and not suitable for poster paint, gouache or watercolour. Those three need an absorbent surface, and a primed canvas is the opposite of that.
Pairs well with
Mont Marte white gesso, acrylics and oils, a brush set, and picture varnish for the finished surface.

Is this size good for a beginner?
It is the size most people start with. Big enough to finish a real piece, small enough that a failed one costs little.
What does back stapled mean?
The staples are on the back of the frame rather than the sides, so the edges stay clean and the canvas hangs without framing.
Studio or Premium?
Studio at 36mm for lighter paint layers, Premium at 38mm for moderate application and light collage.

What does delivery cost and how fast is it?
Delivery is free on orders of AED 300 and above. Orders above AED 100 and below AED 300 ship at AED 12, and orders of AED 100 or less at AED 20. Order before 1:00 PM UAE time for next-day delivery anywhere in the UAE, Dubai and all other Emirates alike. We deliver within the UAE only.
Can I collect from the store?
Yes. Pickup is free from Sheikha Noora Tower, 1st Floor, 109, Barsha Heights, Dubai, open Monday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
How can I pay?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash on delivery. All prices include 5% VAT.
What is the returns policy?
Items damaged in transit or with a manufacturing defect can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused and in original condition. The full policy is on our refund policy page.
